1st Camera Angle Storyboard
Titles and Plot Ideas
THE DEAL. THE ARGUMENT. AN INTERVIEW.
We decided to use "The Deal" as we thought it would be a more interesting storyline and also would be the best plot for editing and using sound for creating tension.
We decided to use "The Deal" as we thought it would be a more interesting storyline and also would be the best plot for editing and using sound for creating tension.
Preliminary Task
The task was to create a short film involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. The task had to demonstrate:
- MATCH ON ACTION cut between two shots of the same action from different positions giving an impression of simultaneity.
- SHOT/REVERSE SHOT (REVERSE ANGLE) Two successive shots from equal and opposite angles, typically of two characters during a conversation.
- 180 DEGREE RULE States that the camera can be in any position as long as it remains on one side of the action. If not it becomes a reverse shot.
