Our Production Company Process

One of our tasks was to create a suitable logo and name for a production company that would fit into the right genre for our film opening. The genre we thought our opening fitted in with was an Action/Thriller. We decided we wanted to use the theme of Britain as our base to work around. We came up with names such as:British Academy Films, British Film Company, Crown Films, Empire Films and Three Lions. 

Our strongest name we all decided on was British Academy Films but decided not to go with British Academy Films as it was too similar to the BAFTA, so we had to come up with another.
We then really liked the theme of the Three Lions, relating to England football club. We thought this would be a great idea for a logo as a lion is a very powerful and recognisable animal and would be strong for our company, therefore we played around with the name a few times. Thee Lions Productions, Three Lions Company and Three Lions Academy. 


We then all agreed on "THREE LIONS PRODUCTIONS".  

This was our first rough design inspired by the Team GB logo, consisting of the main image, The company name and all three of our initials on the tail, MSG.
We didn't use this design as our final one as it was too similar to the TEAM GB logo and we wanted it to be original, therefore we played around with the design and came up with our final one.
